John Summit nearly missed his 2026 Ultra set after police delay: Watch 

Taking to his socials, John Summit posted a video on how he nearly missed his Ultra closing set after a delay caused by police on his way to the festival grounds.

Having made all the headlines after his historic closing set at Ultra Music Festival in Miami last Sunday, Experts Only boss John Summit took to his social media accounts the following day, where he revealed how close he actually was to missing his scheduled set due to a police delay that was completely out of his control.

Posting the video on his Instagram account, Summit documented the whole ordeal that he had faced leading up to his eventual 2026 Ultra set, and when taking into consideration the events that unfolded, it truly was a miracle that he managed to get to the festival on time, and of course, deliver a set for the ages. A chaotic and unexpected turn of events, Summit and his team were delayed by local police enforcement whilst on the yacht towards the festival grounds, with Summit himself mentioning: “so I play in 30 minutes… we are stuck on a police boat.”

Stranded and completely unaware of what was to happen, the video as a whole captures both the tension and absurdity of the moment, with the stress levels also high and visible on Summit’s face despite his best efforts to stay calm and positive in such a situation. Eventually, it all worked out, and Summit made it just on time to close Ultra Miami, and as the saying goes, the rest is history.
