Pan-Pot and State of House remix 1993 classic ‘Pacific Dance’ for HUMAN: Listen
Pan-Pot have teamed with State of House on a new remix of the 1993 classic ‘Pacific Dance‘. The track is out now on the duo’s HUMAN imprint. Notably, the release runs as HUMAN007 and continues the imprint’s mission to push warmer techno onto modern dancefloors.
The remix reshapes the original into a hypnotic, tide-driven groove. Meanwhile, low-end pressure, crisp percussion and a constant sense of motion anchor the production. The track moves from subtle into all-consuming territory across its arc, designed for full immersion.
Pan-Pot frame the creative process with characteristic flair. “Late one night, somewhere between a drifting cargo signal and a forgotten island rave, Pan-Pot and State of House reportedly intercepted a rhythm echoing across the Pacific,” the duo shared. “No source. No coordinates. Just a pulse moving steadily beneath the surface.”
Crucially, HUMAN now operates as both a label and a global event series. Pan-Pot launched the platform as a new chapter in their work. The imprint channels raw techno energy into something warmer. In turn, it pushes feeling back to the centre of the dancefloor.
The duo, made up of Tassilo Ippenberger and Thomas Benedix, have spent over a decade at the forefront of global techno. Furthermore, their groove-driven productions and commanding DJ sets have shaped the modern techno mainstage circuit.
HUMAN events ran across Berlin, New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and the Netherlands last year. The duo also hosted the official Street Parade afterparty in Zurich. Equally, summer dates take Pan-Pot to Kilomètre25 in Paris on April 25 and Cassiopeia in Berlin for HUMAN Mayday on May 1.
Still, the calendar continues from there. INPUT in Barcelona on May 2 lands ahead of Drumcode Mallorca on May 8. BAUM Festival on May 22 and Forbidden Forest on June 4 follow. Chocolate Festival in Switzerland on June 5 and 909 Festival in Amsterdam on June 6 close the run.
