Spotify has revealed its all-time streaming leaderboards as part of its 20-year anniversary, with Taylor Swift crowned the most-streamed artist in platform history. Notably, the rankings cover artists, songs and albums and pull from two decades of platform data.

The artist top three lands clean. Meanwhile, Bad Bunny sits at number two, with Drake at three. The Weeknd, Ariana Grande, Ed Sheeran, Justin Bieber, Billie Eilish, Eminem and Kanye West round out the top ten. In turn, the wider top 20 features Travis Scott, BTS, Post Malone, Bruno Mars, J Balvin, Rihanna, Coldplay, Kendrick Lamar, Future and Juice WRLD.

The song chart belongs to The Weeknd. ‘Blinding Lights’ takes number one on the all-time most-streamed track list. Furthermore, Ed Sheeran’s ‘Shape of You’ lands second, with The Neighbourhood’s ‘Sweater Weather’ third. The Weeknd and Daft Punk‘s ‘Starboy’ takes fourth.

Crucially, the song list also names Harry Styles’ ‘As It Was’, Lewis Capaldi’s ‘Someone You Loved’, Post Malone and Swae Lee’s ‘Sunflower’, Drake, Wizkid and Kyla’s ‘One Dance’, Ed Sheeran’s ‘Perfect’ and The Kid LAROI and Justin Bieber’s ‘STAY’ inside the top ten.

The album chart belongs to Bad Bunny. ‘Un Verano Sin Ti’ lands at number one as the most-streamed album in Spotify history. Equally, The Weeknd takes spots two (‘Starboy’) and five (‘After Hours’). Ed Sheeran’s deluxe ‘÷’, Olivia Rodrigo’s ‘SOUR’ and SZA’s ‘SOS’ fill the top six.

Still, the rankings underline how dominant pop, hip-hop and Latin remain on the platform. Bad Bunny is the only Latin artist in the top 15 artists, but his streaming totals rival the largest English-language acts. Indeed, in 2025 he overtook Taylor Swift as Spotify’s most-played artist of the year for a fourth time.

Furthermore, electronic music sits inside the rankings via Daft Punk on ‘Starboy’ and The Chainsmokers and Halsey on ‘Closer’. Coldplay’s ‘Yellow’ and Imagine Dragons’ ‘Believer’ also feature.

Finally, the 20-year reveal lands as Spotify continues to grow its subscriber base past 919 million globally, with the Global South now driving the bulk of new sign-ups. The all-time leaderboard offers a snapshot of which artists have shaped that growth.
