Tomorrowland’s Symphony of Unity releases debut album ‘Orchestral Selection I’

Symphony of Unity, the orchestral project born from the creative universe of Tomorrowland, has unveiled its debut album ‘Orchestral Selection I’, out now via Tomorrowland Music. The record marks a significant milestone for the ensemble, presenting a cinematic reinterpretation of iconic electronic music through the power of a full symphony orchestra.

Originally introduced during Tomorrowland 2015’s ‘Secret Kingdom of Melodia’ edition, the project quickly captured the imagination of festivalgoers. Since then, Symphony of Unity has evolved into one of the festival’s most distinctive live concepts, merging the high-energy spirit of electronic dance music with the elegance of classical orchestration.

Performed by an ensemble of around 50 world-class musicians, the project transforms beloved electronic tracks into orchestral compositions. Through sweeping arrangements and rich instrumentation, the orchestra offers a fresh perspective on songs that have defined generations of dance music fans.

Among the highlights on ‘Orchestral Selection I’ is ‘Insomnia’ by Faithless, one of the most recognizable electronic anthems ever created. The album also features ‘Universal Nation’ by Push, widely regarded as a cornerstone of the global trance movement and a defining piece of Belgium’s electronic music legacy. Other standout reinterpretations include ‘All That Matters’ by Kölsch, Troels Abrahamsen and ARTBAT, ‘In My Mind’ by Ivan Gough, Feenixpawl, Georgi Kay and Axwell, and ‘Mammoth’ by Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike and MOGUAI, a track closely associated with Tomorrowland’s mainstage moments.

Conductor Kevin Houben reflected on the project:

Following acclaimed performances at Tomorrowland’s Freedom Stage, including record-breaking crowds in 2024 and 2025, the release of ‘Orchestral Selection I’ expands Symphony of Unity’s global reach as the project continues to tour internationally.
