Following an immense 2025 and the release of his debut EP, ‘THIS IS POST-EDM,’ San Francisco-born DJ and record producer TATE SEDAR has now continued to build momentum into 2026, with the release of ‘breakDOWN’ on Dim Mak Records, a range of reformative remixes, and the most immersive of live sets, all illustrating the genius musical mind that he possesses.
Exploring in his own words “the grey between progressive and bass,” it was the release of his EP last June that allowed the establishment of his own distinct identity within the electro and progressive house scene, a milestone that came after five years of pure dedication towards this exact cause. Laying the groundwork in the most emphatic of ways, 2026 is now the year of building momentum around these genres, and with experience gained along the way, and various elements leading to this very moment, SEDAR has set the tone of what’s to come, with bass and garage-infused elements aligning to his home base sound, that of progressive music.
Encore to Post-EDM: ‘Fix You (20th Anniversary Remix)’ – Coldplay
Conveying a message of empathy and understanding at the most significant of times, SEDAR’s remix of Coldplay’s ‘Fix You’ acts as a project of growth and an extension to his EP, allowing then fans alike to truly appreciate the endless musical capabilities that this artist to watch has to offer. Combining acoustic stems with an electronic framework, this remix was released exactly 20 years after the original, resulting in a pivotal moment within SEDAR’s career at that time.

TATE SEDAR: Immersive Live Set
An audiovisual piece created from his debut festival performance at INDULGE Mini-Festival, featuring projection and LED floor mapping visuals, TATE SEDAR’s Immersive Live Set indicates a whole new level of creativity, allowing music and art to come alive in a way that is quite simply groundbreaking. Filmed by Danny Nguyen at the Creative Technology Centre in Los Angeles, the project follows a skeleton of progressive music all the way from commercial to bass house, techno and trap; resulting in the ultimate experience for anyone lucky enough to get their hands on this scintillating live set.
