The iconic Cinquantenaire tunnel in Brussels turned into a rave arena this past weekend
One for the history books, the Cinquantenaire tunnel in Brussels turned into a rave arena this past weekend as part of The Tunnels event hosted by Listen Festival & Hagnar.
Taking over the iconic Cinquantenaire tunnel complex in Brussels, dance music enthusiasts had the opportunity to rave in one of the most unique locations as part of The Tunnels event, hosted by Listen Festival & Hagnar. With the tunnel complex running through the Belgian capital closed off for the occasion, attendees danced for nine hours straight across not one, but two stages set up for this mesmerising experience.
Delivering electrifying vibes, Dutch DJ and record producer KI/KI headlined the first event on April 4. Due to high demand, organizers added a second event the following day, with Marcel Dettmann as the headlining act. Featuring immersive lineups, both events ran from 3 p.m. until 2 a.m., and, as expected, the overall experience will remain etched in attendees’ core memories for years to come.
An initiative that pays true testament to Belgium’s spirit and its enduring connection with dance music, The Tunnels combined raw emotion and energy with an extraordinary venue. It allowed everyone in attendance to fully embrace their surroundings without limitations. The underground passageway pulses with the rhythm of the city every day, and this time it became a sanctuary celebrating electronic music, ultimately going down in the history books for all the right reasons.
