A landmark decision, Ultra Music Festival secures a 20-year deal at Bayfront Park after approval by the Miami City Commission.

Receiving the news we have all been waiting for, Ultra Music Festival has been given the green light by the Miami City Commission, securing a new 20-year deal for the festival to continue taking place at the iconic Bayfront Park. With its current deal set to expire in 2027, organisers and dance music fans alike faced yet another anxiety-filled month, waiting, of course, for the final decision on the matter, and much to our delight, the outcome is truly remarkable.

An issue that has remained at the forefront year after year, it is the Downtown Neighbors Alliance that has opposed the festival taking place in the area in which they reside. Although they aimed for yet another delay on the matter, citing their concerns, the commissioners wasted no time in approving the long-term plan, which sees Ultra not only remaining at Bayfront Park, but also being granted additional time for buildout and teardown. This will allow the festival to create even more intricate and impressive productions in the long scheme of things.

“Being born and raised in Miami, and having started Ultra here in 1999, makes today incredibly special. We are deeply appreciative of the opportunity to continue producing Ultra at Bayfront Park in the City of Miami. With Ultra spanning all corners of the globe, Miami is home. Nearly three decades on, Ultra and Miami are synonymous, defining a global music and lifestyle culture.” – Russel Faibisch, Co Founder & CEO

A landmark decision that has now secured Ultra Music Festival at Bayfront Park for two more decades, we could not be more thrilled with the outcome regarding a matter that has troubled the festival and everyone behind it over the years. With the deal now secured, the focus shifts fully to the festival itself, with each edition set to be as spectacular as possible. One for the books, don’t forget to leave your own thoughts in the comments section.
