J Balvin and DJ Snake have unveiled a new concept for Ushuaïa Ibiza, with two exclusive Sunday shows landing on June 14 and June 21. The Colombian superstar and the French producer will premiere the project on the Playa d'en Bossa venue's open-air stage. Notably, the pair pitch this as a departure from the standard festival format.
Instead of leaning on a packed lineup, the concept centres on mood and presence. A promotional video shows both artists searching for the right name for the experience. Their conclusion steers the whole project: the moment has to feel unrepeatable. Crucially, the show pushes presence, connection and sensuality over documentation.
Meanwhile, the duo bring serious weight to the venue. J Balvin has collected over 100 international awards and 40 No.1 singles on Billboard’s Latin Airplay Chart. He broke through in 2014 with ‘6 AM’ and later delivered hits like ‘Mi Gente’. His catalogue includes collaborations with Beyoncé, Cardi B and DJ Snake himself.
Equally, DJ Snake has amassed over 50 million monthly listeners and more than 40 billion streams. His catalogue includes ‘Lean On’, ‘Taki Taki’ and ‘Let Me Love You’. Furthermore, he has teamed up with Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Travis Scott and Jung Kook across his run. That range spans electronic, hip-hop, trap and pop.
The pair also shared the stage at Ultra Music Festival Miami earlier this year. In turn, the Ibiza residency builds on that chemistry. Still, Ushuaïa gets one of the most powerful cross-cultural bookings of its season.
Finally, tickets are now live through the Ushuaïa Experience site. The two Sundays land inside Ibiza’s peak opening window, and the format hints at something both artists may take further.
