Aiken delivers summer house anthem ‘Like Home’ with Sonny Fodera energy: Listen

Aiken has released his new single ‘Like Home’, a summer-leaning house cut built for sunset listening and golden-hour drives. Notably, the track stitches together pop-radio appeal and progressive house sensibility without losing either side of the equation.

The production reads as quietly nostalgic from the first bar. Meanwhile, the pianos float above the groove and give the whole arrangement a hovering, almost weightless quality. In turn, the listener is dropped straight into a memory-tinted summer headspace before the first vocal even lands.

The female lead vocal carries weight and depth that feels mature beyond a typical radio cut. Crucially, the writing leans into emotional resonance rather than chasing a hook for hook’s sake. The break builds gently, layering space across the arrangement and giving the vocal a perfect bed to settle into.

The result hits a rare balance. Furthermore, ‘Like Home’ is catchy and exciting in a way that ticks every algorithmic box for Spotify, but never feels over-polished or formulaic. “‘Like Home’ is pure summer escapism,” Aiken explained. “I just wanted to create something warm, uplifting, and familiar. It’s that feeling of driving home with the sun out, windows down.”

The track was written largely on the road. Still, the songwriter spent the start of the year staring at sixty straight days of UK rain. He chose to write summer rather than build an ark.
