Deezer says 44% of its daily uploads are now AI-generated
Nearly half of all music uploaded to Deezer every day is now AI-generated, the streaming platform has confirmed — a figure that has quadrupled in just over a year.
Deezer’s latest data puts AI-generated daily uploads at approximately 75,000 tracks, representing 44% of total deliveries. The growth has been steep: in early 2025 the platform reported around 10,000 AI-generated uploads per day (roughly 10%), and a June 2025 analysis showed that had already climbed to 30,000 tracks, or 28%.
Of the AI-generated content reaching the platform, 85% is classed as fraudulent and demonetised. Those tracks account for just 1% to 3% of total streams and are excluded from algorithmic recommendations and editorial playlists. Deezer’s AI-detection tools, which carry patent-pending status, have identified more than 13.4 million AI tracks on the platform since launching in January 2025.
“AI-generated music is now far from a marginal phenomenon and as daily deliveries keep increasing, we hope the whole music ecosystem will join us in taking action to help safeguard artists’ rights and promote transparency for fans,” said CEO Alexis Lanternier. “Thanks to our technology and the proactive measures we put in place more than a year ago, we have shown that it’s possible to reduce AI-related fraud and payment dilution in streaming to a minimum.”
The scale of the problem extends beyond Deezer. In September 2025, Spotify removed 75 million AI-generated tracks in a fraud crackdown. Bandcamp banned AI-generated music from its platform entirely earlier this year. Deezer has made its detection tools available for licensing to other platforms.
The figures were disclosed in a 20 April press release. Deezer’s full AI-detection FAQ and methodology are available on the company’s website.
