Madonna has announced a Peggy Gou remix of 'I Feel So Free'. The new edit, titled 'I Feel So Free Energy Remix', drops Friday, May 15. It also marks the first ever collaboration between the queen of pop and the South Korean electronic world star.

Notably, Gou previewed the remix via her Instagram Stories. The 13-second clip opens with the vocal sample “It all started like this.” Then the rework adds thickness and bounce to the original bassline. The full version lands at the end of the week.

Crucially, the remix is the latest puzzle piece in the ‘Confessions II’ rollout. Madonna‘s upcoming album arrives July 3 on Warner Records. So far from the new project, she has released ‘I Feel So Free’ and the Sabrina Carpenter collab ‘Bring Your Love’.

Then there’s the Stuart Price reunion. Madonna has re-teamed with the original ‘Confessions On a Dance Floor’ producer for the new album. The pair also released a project manifesto in tandem with the release date announcement.

“We must dance, celebrate and pray with our bodies,” the manifesto reads. “The dance floor is a ritualistic space. It’s a place where you connect, with your wounds, with your fragility. To rave is an art. It’s about pushing your limits and connecting to a community of like-minded people.”

Plus, Madonna has worked with electronic remixers across decades. Above & Beyond, Tracy Young, Shep Pettibone, and David Morales have all reshaped her tracks in the past. Peggy Gou now joins that lineage with the ‘I Feel So Free Energy Remix’. Follow updates via the Madonna Instagram.
