Ubbi Dubbi 2026 delivers another magical weekend despite being cut short due to weather [Full Recap]

Home Featured Ubbi Dubbi 2026 delivers another magical weekend despite being cut short due to weather [Full Recap]

With Ubbi Dubbi 2026 concluding, it marks the seventh edition of the prestigious Texas spring festival taking place in Fort Worth. Even though it was cut short by the weather, the event was still packed with high-energy moments throughout.

Ubbi Dubbi 2026 is one of the main events in electronic dance music that marks the start of the spring portion of the festival season. Over its seven years of existence, Disco Presents has done a tremendous job at giving the rich EDM community of Dallas-Fort Worth its own major multi-day event in its backyard. Each year, at the end of April, ravers from across the state gather at Panther Island Pavilion to celebrate some of the best artists in the industry.

One of Ubbi Dubbi’s calling cards is its devotion to presenting a lineup that has legendary acts as well as some of the newest faces in dance music, and this year might have achieved that goal better than any other. With artists such as Alesso, Kaskade, Deadmau5, LAYZ, Loud Luxury, HoneyLuv, Whethan, San Holo, Marie Vaunt, Blanke, and many others, Ubbi Dubbi 2026 had every sector of dance music represented.

The weekend started beautifully, as the first day of the festival got off to a hot start. With an early and eager crowd, the gates at Panther Island officially opened at 3 pm. With this year’s theme being “Into The Abyss,“ the stages were meticulously designed to resemble an underwater exploration. As the music began, the event started with one of the Ubbi Dubbi 2026 DJ competition winners, DELULUZ, who held nothing back on Dubbi’s Stage in the early part of the day. Across the park, Within The Void, was opening up Dubbi’s Stage with a 60-minute hypnotic set.

Over the next few hours, the heat didn’t reduce the energy of the crowd as artists such as RayRay, Dot, Bakkus, Gravagerz, Slamm, and others delivered hard-hitting sets that set the tone for the rest of the day. Then came one of the more anticipated sets on Ubbi’s Stage with StarJunk 95. A set filled with dancing and groovy tracks, StarJunk 95 easily had one of the most fun sets of the weekend. In the middle of Panther Island Pavilion, HoneyLuv welcomed in the golden hours of the day with a brilliant house set that hosted a good-sized crowd.

Once the sun began to lower, it was time for what many considered their top must-see show of the weekend, Alesso’s sunset set. Taking the crowd on a progressive house journey that included hit tracks such as ‘Heroes,‘ ‘Calling,‘ ‘I Wanna Know,‘ ‘Destiny,‘ ‘If I Lose Myself,‘ Alesso welcomed in the first night of Ubbi Dubbi in epic fashion. At Ubbi’s Stage, San Holo presented his widely acclaimed ‘Wholesome Riddim‘ show to one of the most engaged crowds of the weekend. Immediately after him was Whethan’s return to Texas, who presented his new, heavier sound, featuring deep wubz and trap.

As the night inched closer to the Friday headliners, Troyboi and Tape B raised the crowd’s energy at Ubbi’s Stage to the next level. Then came the time for another monumental moment as Deadmau5 and Kaskade brought back their ‘Kx5‘ alias to the Lone Star State. The two did not disappoint, putting on a mixing clinic that featured edits of some of their most iconic tracks and even some comedic mic work from Deadmau5 himself. In the middle of the venue, in the Zoom Room, Riordan was throwing a party with his riveting bass house. On Dubbi’s Stage, Of The Trees put on a deeply emotional set that featured many tracks off his new album, ‘Moonglade Park.‘ He had the audience in the palm of his hand for the entire 75 minutes and was a contender for best set of the weekend.

As the second day began, impressively, the early crowd was even larger than Friday’s. People who showed up soon after the gates opened were treated to some incredible sets with Taylol, Packet Loss, Skilah, Funkbox, Xandra, Tinykvt, and Madison Palmer. Even though storm clouds were beginning to cover Fort Worth, attendees didn’t think twice about it. Dubbi’s Stage hosted what many around the venue were saying might be the most underrated set of the weekend in Canvas. For lovers of speed, Wilkinson brought his undeniable drum and bass to the Lone Star State on Ubbi’s Stage.

It wasn’t known at the time but Ubbi Dubbi had less than an hour in its 2026 chapter. Clouds continued to get darker but the show was still able to continue, the hope was that the weather would hold for just a few more hours. Continuing the momentum from her widely praised Ultra Miami set, LAYZ held back no punches as she played a variant of her Miami set to easily one of the most packed crowds of the entire festival. Loud Luxury had the honor of the Saturday sunset set on Ubbi’s Stage and wasted no time bringing the fun to Fort Worth as they know best.

However, it was only about 30 minutes into the sunset shows when the weather unexpectedly turned aggressive. Due to lightning and incoming heavy rain, Ubbi Dubbi 2026 would have to delay its operations but also eventually cancel the rest of the final night. While there were still highly desired artists such as BUNT., Cloonee, Space Laces, Kai Wachi, TRYM, Ganja White Night, and Zedd, who would have put on tremendous shows, Disco Presents made the difficult but right decision for the safety of all those involved.

Regardless, even though its time was cut short, Ubbi Dubbi 2026 delivered another incredible experience for dance music lovers in Texas. Predicting the weather is never easy, and Disco Presents handled it as well as you could. Now with a little bit left to be desired in 2026, it will only raise the anticipation that much more for Ubbi Dubbi 2027.
