Above & Beyond rework Axwell’s ‘Feel The Vibe’ as Anjunabeats Volume 17 lands: Listen
Above & Beyond have officially released ‘Feel The Vibe’, a rework of Axwell‘s 2005 dance classic. The single arrives alongside the full release of ‘Anjunabeats Volume 17’, where it also features.
Crucially, the trio’s version reshapes the original. Above & Beyond deliver a more trance and progressive take on the classic house track, carrying the same name as Axwell‘s anthem. As a result, the rework lands as a respectful evolution rather than a straight cover.
Notably, the version has lived in their sets for over a year. Above & Beyond have been playing the rework across their global Bigger Than All Of Us album tour for the past year at festivals and amphitheatre shows. Furthermore, the long-awaited fan favourite finally landing on streaming is a moment in itself.
Meanwhile, the bigger release is the compilation. ‘Anjunabeats Volume 17’ spans 35 tracks across two mixes. Indeed, it was curated between Above & Beyond‘s London studio and their global touring schedule, capturing the evolving sound of Anjunabeats and spotlighting both long-standing collaborators and the new generation shaping the label’s future.
Equally, the legacy is significant. Since its debut in 2003, the Anjunabeats Volume series has played a defining role in electronic music, introducing emerging talent and setting the tone for the label’s globally recognised blend of trance, progressive and melodic club music.
Furthermore, Above & Beyond framed the curation themselves. “Following the release of Bigger Than All Of Us, it felt important for this next chapter to celebrate the artists that make Anjunabeats such an exciting label to be a part of,” they said. “Volume 17 includes music from artists we’ve worked with for years as well as new faces representing the future of the label.”
Still, there’s a first-time touch. For the first time in the series’ history, Anjunabeats Volume 17 will also be available on vinyl, featuring a 12-track sampler handpicked by Above & Beyond. In short, the moment doubles as a celebration of the label’s legacy and a bold statement of its future.
