Amelie Lens has postponed her full 2026 Asia tour after being hospitalised with a severe stomach bug. The Belgian techno star confirmed the news on Instagram, with Marquee Singapore, S2O Taiwan and World DJ Festival all confirming the cancellations and refund details across the weekend.
Speaking directly to fans, Lens framed the decision as one she did not take lightly. “Hey guys, I feel really sad but I have a horrible stomach bug and was hospitalized yesterday. I can’t even keep down a sip of water,” she wrote. “I was so looking forward to this Asia tour and I’m truly sorry we have to postpone it.”
Crucially, Lens made clear this was an unavoidable call. “I never cancel lightly and have played through being unwell before, but this time I really cannot travel,” she added. “My team is already working on new dates asap.” Indeed, the message tagged each of the three Asian promoters caught up in the postponement.
Furthermore, Marquee Singapore confirmed the cancellation of her show scheduled for Friday 12th June 2026. The venue announced that ticket holders will be issued refunds, and is also offering free admission for ticket holders who still wish to come down on the Friday night, with resident DJs taking over. Guests will need to present their e-ticket for verification for free entry.
“We apologise for the inconvenience caused and thank you for your continued support,” Marquee Singapore said.
Meanwhile, S2O Taiwan confirmed the artist will no longer perform on June 13. “We regret to inform you that Amelie Lens will no longer be performing at S2O Taiwan 2026 on June 13 due to unforeseen health-related circumstances, resulting in the cancellation of her Asia tour,” the festival posted. Equally, the team confirmed the festival will still take place across the weekend, with replacement international artists set to be announced.
“Our sincere apologies to all fans who were looking forward to her performance. Full refund details are provided below,” S2O Taiwan added. “Wishing Amelie Lens a speedy recovery, and thank you for your understanding and continued support.”
Notably, World DJ Festival in Korea also confirmed the cancellation. Lens had been booked as the Sunday headliner of the 20th edition of the festival, taking place June 13-14 at Seoulland. The promoter explained the news in an official statement signed by festival director Kim Eun-sung.
Furthermore, the festival confirmed that ticket holders who purchased one-day Sunday passes or two-day passes will be eligible for full refunds without cancellation fees if they cancel by Saturday. The festival is also working on replacement artist bookings and timetable adjustments to minimise the impact, with updates to follow.
Still, the bigger picture is health. Amelie Lens has been one of the most active artists in techno in 2026, recently announcing her debut album ‘AURA’ with EXHALE, performing her first-ever B2B with Sara Landry at Ultra Miami, and confirming a historic 14,000-capacity show at KMSKA in Antwerp. In short, the postponement is a short pause in what has otherwise been a landmark year, and the focus now is on recovery.
