Charlotte de Witte opens Daad Gathering in Hungary with crowds racing onto the field: Watch

Charlotte de Witte has officially opened the 2026 edition of Daad Gathering in Dádpuszta, Hungary. The Belgian techno star kicked off the festival with crowds racing across the field as the gates opened, then ran through her opening set in front of one of the most committed audiences of her season so far.

De Witte shared the moment with a candid reflection on the social side of opening a festival.

The Hungarian set is one stop on a wider summer run. Charlotte De Witte is also taking her new audiovisual live show, The Resistance, to a string of major European festivals. After premiering at UNVRS Ibiza and stops at We Love Green in Paris and Sónar Barcelona, the show is next set to land at Rock Werchter, Les Ardentes, Bilbao BBK, V and B Festival and Pagaille.

The Daad opening lands as one of the more personal moments of her season. With a stacked run of marquee shows ahead, De Witte‘s 2026 continues to escalate.
