It’s not an easy record to remix but I knew my first time playing in Tim’s home country Sweden was the right moment to finish this edit and play it out. ‘Seek Bromance’ is one of the most defining records of the Swedish star’s early career. Released in 2010 under the Tim Berg alias on Joia Records, the track became a generational anthem and one of the records that pushed the Swedish superstar’s name onto the global circuit. Reworking that exact record for the first time, in Sweden, in front of the Swedish star’s home audience, is the kind of full-circle creative moment most American producers would not attempt lightly.

The American producer has been on one of the most active runs of his career across the past year. From his Tax Day-released sophomore album ‘CTRL ESCAPE’ to the announcement of his ambitious Severance-inspired arena tour, the Chicago star has consistently sat at the centre of the global dance conversation. Adding an Avicii tribute, debuted in the late Swedish icon’s home country, into that same year cements just how cinematic his current era has become.
