Joseph Desando is emerging as one of dance music’s most sought-after collaborators
Success in electronic music is often measured by what happens in front of the crowd. The sold-out shows, festival appearances, and chart-topping records tend to grab the spotlight. Behind many of those moments, however, are producers, engineers, and creatives whose contributions help shape the music audiences ultimately connect with. Canadian artist Joseph Desando has quietly become one of those figures.
Over the past several years, Joseph Desando has built an impressive resume spanning commercial releases, live productions, brand campaigns, and international touring projects. His work has appeared on more than 25 officially released records, collectively generating over 60 million streams while contributing to multiple releases that have reached the top of Billboard’s Dance Airplay chart.
Rather than following a single lane, Desando’s career has developed through a wide range of creative roles. Production, engineering, songwriting support, and live performance preparation have all become part of a portfolio that continues to expand across different corners of the electronic music landscape. A significant chapter of that journey began in 2024 when he joined the creative team surrounding Canadian dance music duo Loud Luxury. Since then, Desando has contributed to various aspects of the group’s releases and live performances, supporting projects that have reached audiences around the world through major festivals, club appearances, and international touring.
The demands of modern electronic music extend far beyond the studio. A record designed for streaming platforms often requires a different approach than music intended for festival stages, while live productions introduce another layer of technical and creative considerations. Desando’s continued involvement across these areas reflects a versatility that has become increasingly valuable in today’s industry. His growing catalog also includes collaborations with artists operating across different markets and genres. Among the highlights is his contribution to an officially released Taylor Swift remix that reached No. 1 on the U.S. iTunes chart in late 2025. Additional credits alongside Canadian producer Frank Walker and Brazilian electronic duo Cat Dealers further demonstrate the international scope of his work.
That global reach extends to some of dance music’s most recognizable stages. Music connected to Desando’s production work has been featured at festivals including Tomorrowland, Ultra Music Festival, Electric Daisy Carnival, and Stagecoach, placing his contributions in front of audiences numbering in the tens of thousands. Outside of artist releases, Desando has also worked on projects for major brands such as Tylenol Canada and Starbucks. One particularly unique addition to his catalog came through Senna Driven, an electronic music project released in conjunction with the São Paulo Grand Prix as a tribute to Formula 1 icon Ayrton Senna. The project combined music, culture, and motorsport history, showcasing another side of Desando’s creative range.
Alongside his work behind the scenes, Desando has remained active as a performer, appearing at Canadian events including VELD Music Festival and Escapade Music Festival. His music has also found homes on major labels such as Republic Records, Sony Music, Armada Music, and Universal Music, further reflecting the breadth of projects he has been involved with throughout his career. As electronic music continues to evolve, the industry’s most valuable contributors are often those capable of adapting to multiple creative environments. Whether working on a festival anthem, a commercial campaign, or a charting release, Joseph Desando has steadily established himself as a trusted collaborator whose impact extends far beyond a single role.
