Madonna hints at 2027 Glastonbury headline slot during Graham Norton appearance

Madonna has just heavily hinted she could finally headline Glastonbury in 2027. The pop legend made the tease during an appearance on The Graham Norton Show, while discussing tour plans around her upcoming 15th studio album ‘Confessions II’, the spiritual follow-up to 2005’s ‘Confessions On A Dance Floor’.

Asked about her touring plans, she replied: “I think I’ll do promo tours for a while, then in the summertime, something bigger.” Norton, picking up on the implication, replied: “Oh, that sounds really exciting and good. I think I know what you’re talking about.” When he pressed if “it” was happening in the UK, she answered: “It could be. Why do I have to tell you everything?”

The Glastonbury hint follows years of speculation around a possible Madonna Pyramid Stage moment. The icon was widely rumoured to be performing on the Pyramid Stage back in 2024, but those negotiations reportedly fell apart. The 2027 Worthy Farm tease, paired with her ‘something bigger’ framing, now opens the door wide open again.

The pop legend’s ‘Confessions II’ is her first record since 2019’s ‘Madame X’, and it sees her reunite with original ‘Confessions’ producer Stuart Price. The album has already been previewed via an impromptu Times Square set in New York, a star-studded short film starring Sabrina Carpenter, Benedict Cumberbatch, Kate Moss, Julia Garner, Shygirl, Honey Dijon and more, plus a confirmed London listening party set up for early July.

The pop icon has also been confirmed as one of the co-headliners for the first-ever FIFA World Cup halftime show alongside Shakira and BTS, with a Kylie Minogue collaboration also rumoured for the new record.
