Solomun brings back ‘Dance first. Film later.’ for 2026 Ibiza season
Solomun has brought back the “Dance first. Film later.” flyer at Pacha Ibiza for another Solomun +1 Sunday season. The Bosnian-German house favourite shared the message this week, framing it as a gentle ritual rather than a ban.
“Since 2017, every Sunday at Pacha, we’ve placed a small note at the door. Not a rule. Not a ban. Just a gentle reminder of what this night is really about,” Solomun wrote on Instagram.
Crucially, he laid out the why with real care. “The music sounds different when you’re fully inside it. The room feels different when the phones are away. The night stays with you longer when you actually lived it,” he added. As a result, the post immediately reignited the wider club phones debate.
Furthermore, Solomun confirmed the 2026 return of the format. “This season, the flyer is back. Same as always. Dance first. Film later,” he wrote. Meanwhile, the Solomun +1 night opens this season with friends @kimonos.music setting the early tone.
Notably, the response from the scene was instant. Benny Benassi replied with a simple “respect.” One commenter praised the framing: “Finally, a DJ who addresses phone usage thoughtfully. Club culture shouldn’t be about bans or dividing people, it should be about trust, unity, and mutual respect.”
Indeed, others backed the wider principle. “Imagine being upset or not going to a show bc they ban cell phones, we didn’t want those people there anyway,” another wrote. In turn, support poured in from across the Ibiza community.
Still, the debate has critics too. Equally, some clubbers argued that adults should choose for themselves how they enjoy a show. In short, Solomun has reopened one of the loudest questions in modern clubbing.
