Steve Angello teases long-awaited Eric Prydz collaboration ‘Bedtime Stories’
Steve Angello may have just confirmed one of electronic music’s most elusive collaborations is finally on its way. The Swedish House Mafia member buried a hint at the long-awaited Eric Prydz collaboration ‘Bedtime Stories’ in an Instagram carousel this week, reigniting the rumour mill of a track 14 years in the making.
Crucially, the clue is hidden in plain sight. Buried in the 11th slide of an Instagram carousel posted by Angello is an image of a phone screen playing a song labelled “ERIC PRYDZ & STEVE ANGELLO – BEDTIME…”. As a result, fans have read the slide as the closest the duo have come to confirming a release window.
Notably, the track is one of progressive house’s biggest white whales. ‘Bedtime Stories’ first surfaced during Episode 003 of Prydz‘s EPIC Radio back in 2012, and has spent over a decade as one of the most coveted unreleased IDs in the genre. Furthermore, Prydz revived the track on his EPIC Radio comeback episode earlier this year, sending speculation into overdrive.
Meanwhile, the timing is significant. Prydz relaunched EPIC Radio earlier in 2026 after a six-year absence, building the first episode entirely around unreleased material. Equally, the Swedish dance music icon recently confirmed six new Pryda EPs are finished and ready, starting with ‘Mygga’ and ‘Modulation’.
Furthermore, the wider Prydz universe is expanding fast. The progressive house titan recently launched new label Lycka Recordings with first single ‘Heavy’, set for an October 30 release after an Apple Music leak. Indeed, the combination of momentum from both ends now reads as a deliberate build.
Equally, neither Prydz nor Angello has formally confirmed a release at the time of writing. Still, between the former’s output momentum and the latter’s not-so-subtle hint on social media, the wait for ‘Bedtime Stories’ may finally be coming to an end.
In short, if the slide reads the way fans are reading it, one of dance music’s most legendary unreleased records is about to land.
