T-Pain just delivered one of the most emotionally weighted festival moments of the summer. The American star debuted a brand-new posthumous collaboration with Oliver Tree, framing it with the line about life being too short, before heading into a back-to-back set with DJ Diesel (NBA legend Shaquille O'Neal) at Electric Forest 2026.

The previously unreleased song was first played by the American artist publicly in the wake of the late pop star’s passing, marking the first time the wider music community has heard a finished record from the two artists together. Outlets including Vice, Vulture and the LA Times have all reported on the unveiling.

Hours later, the American artist linked up with DJ Diesel for the festival’s Shebongle Shebang activation, where the two kept the mosh pits rolling until 4 AM. According to MLive’s recap, the NBA legend and the American star turned the late-night session into one of the most-talked-about crossover moments of the entire festival weekend.

The b2b is the continuation of one of the most unexpected ongoing partnerships in modern dance music. The NBA legend has spent years building out his bass-heavy DJ project under the Diesel alias, headlining major festival slots and club takeovers across the US. Adding the American star to that lineup, on the same night as the Oliver Tree tribute, made for one of the most emotionally and sonically extreme nights of the festival’s calendar. Watch below.
