UAD Topline Vocal Tune is a new pitch correction plugin with MIDI control and natural pitch modes
Universal Audio has released Topline Vocal Tune, a pitch correction plugin that sits within its Topline vocal processing suite. It is available now to UAD Spark subscribers and as a standalone native purchase at an introductory price of $73 / €75, a 21% discount from standard pricing.
Topline Vocal Tune covers the full range of pitch correction use cases — from transparent natural correction to classic hard-tune effects. What sets it apart is a thoughtful approach to both MIDI integration and natural pitch processing, making it equally useful for producers working on electronic music vocals as it is for those handling more traditional vocal performances.
Key features
The plugin includes individual pitch and formant controls that can be linked for precision, alongside a Shift Mix control to blend between the processed and unprocessed signal. A Key Finder automatically detects the scale of the incoming vocal, getting you to work faster without having to set the scale manually.
MIDI input is one of the more interesting additions. You can use a MIDI signal to repitch the vocal in real time to follow notes played on a keyboard, or use it to redefine the scale the plugin uses as its reference point. Scale options include major, natural minor, melodic and harmonic minor, and a range of modes — all of which can be further customised to specific notes.
The Natural control section gives you two elastic pitch processing modes alongside a sustain control to shape the pitch envelope. This is what allows Topline Vocal Tune to match its processing transparently to different vocal styles — whether you’re correcting a delicate performance or going for an obvious robotic effect.
Part of the Topline ecosystem
Topline Vocal Tune joins Universal Audio’s existing Topline vocal suite, which includes the Topline Vocal Suite bundle covering harmony generation, reverb, and broader vocal production tools. For producers working heavily with vocals in electronic music — particularly those building around processed, layered, or heavily manipulated vocal sounds — it adds a dedicated pitch correction option that integrates natively within the UA workflow.
UAD Topline Vocal Tune is available now. Introductory pricing of $73 / €75 is active for a limited time.
