“After six wonderful years and a beautiful love story, we have decided together to follow our hearts and bring our relationship to an end,” de Witte wrote in her post. “Our love has now taken a different form, rooted in deep gratitude, support, understanding and always united by the music. We’ll still be in each other’s life, with respect and deep care. We sincerely wish each other nothing but the very best. Much love to everyone ❤️”

Charlotte de Witte has become one of the most influential figures in modern techno over the past decade. Founder of KNTXT, headlining act at festivals across the globe, and a regular presence on the biggest stages from Tomorrowland to Coachella, she is currently in the middle of one of the busiest chapters of her career — recently unveiling her XXL ‘The Resistance’ show at Rock Werchter and continuing an extensive summer festival run.

The message from Charlotte was met with an outpouring of love and support from fans and fellow artists across the electronic music community — many highlighting the maturity, grace and honesty of her framing. In an industry where personal news often unfolds under a spotlight, the tone of her statement is a reminder of just how much care can define even the hardest chapters.

We wish Charlotte and her family nothing but the best as they move into this next chapter.
