Charlotte de Witte pulled off a psy-tinged surprise techno set on Tomorrowland 2026’s Mainstage: Watch

Sunday at Tomorrowland 2026 got one of its wildest curveballs yet. Charlotte de Witte stepped onto the Mainstage for an unannounced Weekend 1 surprise set, delivering a punchy fusion of hard techno and psy-trance that spun the whole tone of the day into something completely different.

The Belgian icon opened with her own Acid Code rework of Enrico Sangiuliano’s ‘The Techno Code’, followed by a fresh ID and the psy-leaning ‘Om Namah Shivaya’ by Electric Universe & Greg Hilight. From there came the Avalon & GMS remix of her own ‘A Prayer For The Dancefloor’ with Conduit, and, most importantly, a live airing of her brand-new collab with Theo Nasa titled ‘The Resistance’, the same XXL production that she previewed at Rock Werchter earlier this month.

The middle of the set stayed in that hard, hypnotic pocket. Lilly Palmer’s ‘Living Fast’ hit hard, followed by two IDs, the Burn In Noise & Becker remix of Bl4ck Hole & Invader Space’s ‘Ragga Man’, and the Audio State remix of Pan-Pot’s ‘Funke’. Two more unreleased IDs kept the surprise factor high.

The closing stretch fully embraced the psy-trance influence. Vini Vici & Tristan & Avalon’s ‘Music Is The Answer’ was followed by Pupa Nas T & FOVOS ft. Denise Belfon’s ‘Work Edit’ and Yenkov & Gaston Fiore’s ‘Bring Back Emotions’ to close out one of the most left-field Mainstage moments of the weekend.
