Diynamic Outdoor with Solomun at San Antonio’s Cantera Can Coix cancelled after community backlash
One of Ibiza’s most anticipated open-air events of the summer will no longer take place. Diynamic Outdoor Solomun at Cantera Can Coix in San Antonio, scheduled for 11 July 2026, has been cancelled following significant community backlash — with organisers Pacha ICONS and Solomun’s Diynamic label confirming the decision in an emotional joint statement on Instagram.
“This is not the moment to push forward”
The event, billed as “a night entirely about the music, for Ibiza and the people who love it,” was originally announced with support from the Pacha ICONS Ibiza brand. But as the organisers explained, “we announced it, and it quickly became clear that not everyone felt the same way. The reaction took us by surprise. So we looked closer, not only at what was being said, but at everything surrounding this event. And the more we saw, the clearer it became that this had turned into something that no longer had anything to do with the night we wanted to create.”
“Financially, it is easy for us to cancel this,” the statement continued. “For all of us, this special event was never about profit. Emotionally, it makes us sad. But for us, this was always about creating positive emotions from the start. And when it creates the opposite instead, then it makes no sense to hold on to it. Then you step back, with respect.” Every ticket will be fully refunded.
The reaction to the cancellation itself has been striking. Many commenters framed the situation as a broader debate over the direction of the island — the tension between global brands and Ibiza’s independent musical ecosystem, and the increasing difficulty smaller promoters face in navigating consolidation, permits and municipal capacity laws. As one commenter put it: “‘Financially, it is easy for us to cancel this.’ Maybe that’s exactly the point. For independent promoters, every event is a financial risk.”
