Hayden James teams up with Bipolar Sunshine on new tech-house single ‘For The Girls’ via broke Records: Listen

Late-night tech-house heater. Award-winning Australian producer Hayden James has just returned with ‘For The Girls’, a brand-new single alongside platinum-selling singer-songwriter Bipolar Sunshine, out now via broke Records. It marks Hayden’s second release on the New York label, following April’s ‘One I Want’.

Musically, Hayden James keeps things lean here. ‘For The Girls’ pairs a minimalistic, hook-driven groove with the kind of late-night energy tailor-made for peak-time floors, while Bipolar Sunshine‘s vocal carries the whole record. The track apparently went through many different versions before it clicked into place during a studio session with Bipolar Sunshine and Chris Lorenzo, a process that Hayden says left him with one of the strongest early reactions he has ever had to an unreleased record.

“This record went through so many versions, but it all finally came together in a session with Bipolar Sunshine and Chris Lorenzo,” Hayden shared. “I’ve never had a reaction to an unreleased record like I’ve had with ‘For The Girls’, I’m really excited to put this one out.” Between them, the pair brings serious pedigree. Hayden is one of Australia’s most successful electronic exports, with over a billion streams to his name across three albums. Bipolar Sunshine, meanwhile, has a Grammy-winning co-write for Beyoncé and Wizkid, alongside a platinum single with DJ Snake.
