Paris Techno Parade returns on 19 September 2026 after two years off the calendar

Paris is bringing back its biggest free rave. The Techno Parade, the historic open-air rave that has moved through the streets of Paris since 1998, is officially returning on 19 September 2026 after two years off, according to organiser Technopol. It is the first edition since 2023, following the 2024 Olympics and the funding issues that scrapped 2025.

Founded in 1998 by the Technopol association, the Techno Parade was originally designed to celebrate electronic culture in the streets of the French capital. At its peak the event has drawn over 350,000 festival-goers, all walking through Paris behind roughly a dozen sound system floats representing labels, promoters, collectives and crews from across the French dance-music universe. Notably, many of the floats have historically come from beyond France, tying the parade to a wider European electronic scene.

2024 saw the parade skipped as the Paris Olympics dominated the city’s calendar, and 2025 was cancelled due to financial pressures on the organisers. Many fans quietly assumed the Techno Parade had wound down for good. Meanwhile, its return in 2026 pushes it firmly back into the annual calendar and gives Paris one of the biggest, and freest, dance events in Europe. Fans of techno in France now have a huge September moment to plan around.
