Alesso has unveiled his highly anticipated two-track EP 'The One', out now via his own Body Hi label and Tomorrowland Music. The project brings together two of his most-teased IDs of the year, 'Smoke Machine' and 'Get Your Groove On'.
‘The One’ shares its name with Alesso‘s current live show concept. Consequently, the EP acts as an extension of that tour experience. ‘Get Your Groove On’ works as his tour-opener. Meanwhile, ‘Smoke Machine’ has already become a fan-favourite ID. Both tracks appeared live to enthusiastic crowds through the summer.
“This is the most immersive tour we’ve ever created, in terms of both music and production,” Alesso said. “These songs were written to create moments that stay with you long after the show is over. ‘The One’ started as the name of the stage we built, but it has grown into something much bigger. It’s a feeling, a memory, and now it’s captured forever in this EP.”
The release lands during one of the biggest chapters of Alesso‘s career. Recently, he became the first international recording artist in Billboard Dance Radio chart history to score two number one hits with two different songs in consecutive weeks. Beyond that, he covered PAPER Magazine and released chart-topping cuts including ‘Surrender’ with Becky Hill, ‘Inside Our Hearts’ with Martin Garrix and his newest single ‘Destiny’ with SACHA.
Notably, Alesso also played his first Swedish hometown show in 10 years at Skansen Stockholm. In turn, ‘The One’ arrives with real live-tested weight. The EP it ouw everywhere via Body Hi and Tomorrowland Music.
