Eric Prydz is stepping in for John Summit at Creamfields this Friday, and as far as last-minute festival substitutions go, this one is close to perfect. The UK festival has confirmed that Prydz will play the Apex with Capital Dance stage as a very special guest on Friday, August 28. Notably, that slot became available when John Summit pulled out of four August festival dates to focus on his upcoming CTRL ESCAPE arena tour.

Creamfields bills the Apex with Capital Dance stage as the world’s largest indoor festival main stage superstructure. Meanwhile, the venue holds around 30,000 people. Consequently, this slot lands as one of the biggest indoor rooms in UK festival culture. Prydz will share the Friday bill with Fisher, while Disclosure‘s live show and Carl Cox anchor other stages the same night.

Prydz has treated Daresbury as something of a second home. He debuted his jaw-dropping HOLO production there in 2022 and returned under his Pryda alias in 2024. Crucially, Creamfields has not confirmed which version of Prydz shows up this time. As a result, the surprise-booking angle only adds to the anticipation.

The timing works in Prydz‘s favour too. Recently, he unveiled his Fall 2026 North American tour with the ‘IDs incoming’ tease. Beyond that, the Friday Creamfields room becomes a strong warm-up for the arena-scale run ahead. Meanwhile, John Summit‘s August cancellations set the wider context for the shake-up.

Creamfields runs from August 27 to 30 at Daresbury in Cheshire. The festival closes out the UK festival summer as always, over the bank holiday weekend.
