Faithless are giving one lucky fan the chance to own a signed 'Insomnia' anniversary vinyl. To celebrate the enduring legacy of the group's era-defining 1995 anthem, the London outfit have launched a limited-time competition through their mailing list. The prize is a fully signed anniversary pressing of one of the most influential dance records of all time.
“Time is ticking,” Faithless wrote in the announcement. “Sign up to our mailing list for your chance to win this signed Insomnia anniversary vinyl.” The competition runs via the group’s Cirkay fan community. Entry closes at the deadline set on the sign-up page. Meanwhile, only mailing-list members can enter.
‘Insomnia’ remains one of the most instantly recognisable records in electronic music. Written by Faithless founders Rollo, Sister Bliss and Maxi Jazz, the track landed on the group’s debut album ‘Reverence’ in 1996. However, its wider chart reissue and dancefloor domination followed shortly after. As a result, its “I can’t get no sleep” hook is now shorthand for a generation of ravers.
The giveaway lands during a busy anniversary chapter for Faithless. Recently, the group celebrated 25 years of the equally iconic ‘We Come 1’ from the ‘Outrospective’ album.
