John Summit returns to the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum as a sold-out headliner four years after opening for Kx5.
The moment also carries a fitting full-circle significance for Summit. Nearly four years to the day before his upcoming headline show, he stood inside the same Coliseum as a supporting act for Kx5, the collaborative project of Kaskade and deadmau5. On December 10, 2022, Summit took the stage ahead of Kx5’s landmark Coliseum performance, warming up a crowd that eventually grew to nearly 50,000 fans. At the time, Summit was already riding considerable momentum within dance music, even using the enormous stage to test newly finished music in front of what was then one of the largest crowds of his career.
Four years later, his name will sit alone at the top of the bill. The journey between those two Coliseum appearances has included a series of major milestones. In 2023, Summit sold out Los Angeles’ 22,000-capacity BMO Stadium before taking another major leap the following year with a sold-out Madison Square Garden headline show. The New York performance sold more than 15,000 tickets and sold out within two hours of its announcement.
His reach has since expanded well beyond individual arena and stadium shows. In 2025, Summit launched the inaugural Experts Only Festival on New York City‘s Randall’s Island, welcoming more than 50,000 fans across two sold-out days. The festival is set to return for its second edition this September, further establishing Experts Only as both a record label and an increasingly influential live events brand.
That momentum has carried directly into 2026. Summit kicked off another massive year with the release of his sophomore album, CTRL ESCAPE, in April, expanding beyond the tech-house sound most closely associated with his rise through influences ranging from drum & bass and dubstep to more melodic corners of electronic music. His summer has been equally significant. Summit returned home to Chicago for a headline performance at Lollapalooza, while his European run included an expansive residency at Ibiza‘s [UNVRS], two weekends at Tomorrowland and an Experts Only takeover at Tofte Manor in the UK.
The upcoming CTRL ESCAPE tour will now translate that next chapter into Summit’s largest headline production yet. The tour promises a new production concept and immersive visual experience designed specifically around the album and the increasingly massive spaces Summit now occupies. Selling out the Coliseum doesn’t just add another massive show to Summit’s résumé. It marks just how far his career has climbed in four years, while bringing him back to the very stage that once offered a glimpse of where he was headed.
