Martin Garrix and Rock & Roll Hall of Famers U2 have unveiled the official music video for their landmark collaboration 'Fireflies'. Notably, the release delivers a fully realised visual to a track that has already become one of the defining crossover moments of 2026. The video is out now on YouTube.
The visual matches the record’s cinematic scale. Consequently, it transports viewers into a midnight forest where fireflies surround Martin Garrix before revealing Bono‘s striking silhouette. Meanwhile, the ethereal, dreamlike palette perfectly captures the track’s otherworldly energy. As a result, the video reads as a proper artistic partner to the record rather than a promotional afterthought.
‘Fireflies’ itself pairs Bono‘s unmistakable vocals and U2‘s iconic sound with Martin Garrix‘s signature production. Crucially, the collaboration grew out of a longtime friendship and creative partnership between the two camps. Recently, Martin produced ‘Scars’, featured on U2‘s latest EP ‘Easter Lily’. In turn, that deeper studio connection has now been carried across into full visual territory.
The video release continues a run of high-profile Garrix collaborations. Beyond that, he recently teamed up with Madonna on ‘Bizarre’ for her newest album ‘Confessions 11’, first premiering the track during his three-night run at Barclays Center in New York.
