Michael Bibi and KETTAMA unite with Wu-Tang Clan on long-awaited club anthem ‘MYSTERY OF RAW’

The track is built around ‘Da Mystery of Chessboxin’, produced by The RZA and featuring iconic verses from U-God and Inspectah Deck. The original was sampled to create a new dancefloor melody that has spent years circulating through clubs and festivals worldwide, with fans constantly asking about it after hearing it in DJ sets.

The story started in 2018, when Michael Bibi began playing an early version sent to him by KETTAMA. It quickly developed a cult following on dancefloors. In 2024, Bibi created an entirely new version of the track, reimagining the original idea alongside KETTAMA to give the timeless Wu-Tang vocal a fresh perspective. That collaboration became ‘MYSTERY OF RAW’, the version now finally out after the necessary sample clearance was secured.

The release arrives via CircoLoco Records, the label partnership between CircoLoco and Rockstar Games, and lands with the full approval and support of Wu-Tang Clan. Rather than simply licensing the sample, Wu-Tang embraced the collaboration, giving their backing to a record that bridges one of hip-hop’s most iconic recordings with two of electronic music’s most respected contemporary producers.
