Moby, BLOND:ISH and Kiko Franco return with 2026 version of ‘Natural Blues’ feat. Jacob Lusk on Defected

Moby has teamed up with BLOND:ISH, Kiko Franco and vocalist Jacob Lusk for a brand-new 2026 version of 'Natural Blues', out now via Defected Records. The reimagining follows a viral onstage moment at Coachella earlier this year. Moby brought Jacob Lusk out to deliver an acoustic rendition of the 1999 classic during his set. That single moment sparked huge appetite for a definitive club version. Now, the new release answers the call.

The original ‘Natural Blues’ first landed on Moby‘s genre-defining album ‘Play’. It sampled Vera Hall’s a cappella ‘Trouble So Hard’ and helped define the sound of turn-of-the-millennium electronica. This latest interpretation preserves the haunted vocal core. However, it pushes the arrangement into modern club territory. BLOND:ISH brings her sun-drenched Ibiza house sensibility. Meanwhile, Kiko Franco layers percussive Latin-tinged energy. In addition, Jacob Lusk delivers a soulful new lead that gives the track fresh emotional anchor.

Moby, BLOND:ISH and Kiko Franco already released a first reimagined version of ‘Natural Blues’ back in 2025. However, the Coachella moment with Jacob Lusk on vocals reset the conversation entirely. As a result, this new package includes the single mix with the music video and an extended club version built for peaktime rotation.

The release also arrives during a busy chapter for Moby. Recently, he paid homage to UK rave culture during his emotional headline show at On The Beach Brighton. Beyond that, BLOND:ISH continues to expand her Ibiza calendar and community projects. Notably, ‘Natural Blues’ 2026 is streaming now on all platforms.
