Robbie Williams stepped on stage at UNVRS Ibiza to perform his new collaboration with Miss Monique, 'Beauty In Us', on Sunday night, August 16. The surprise appearance capped Miss Monique's set inside Carl Cox's ongoing residency at the world's number one club. Notably, it was the first-ever live vocal performance of the track.
Williams teased the moment earlier that day on Instagram: “Me. Tonight. UNVRS. The Club. Ibiza. Miss Monique. Carl Cox. ‘Beauty In Us’ is about to be launched. I’ll see you there… Buzzing, mad fer it.” Consequently, fans on the island packed in for the reveal.
The pair described ‘Beauty In Us’ as “a very special musical collaboration inspired by our different but equally defining experiences of electronic music and clubbing in Stoke-on-Trent and Kyiv… from the 90s to the 2010s.” They added: “It feels right for now. It was a dream to perform it in Ibiza for the first time!” In turn, the moment fused Britpop legacy with modern melodic techno in real time.
The Ibiza performance follows Miss Monique‘s original debut of ‘Beauty In Us’ on the Tomorrowland Mainstage, where she closed her set with the unreleased ID. Meanwhile, the track is now set for full release on September 18.
The UNVRS moment also stacks another headline on the world’s number one club’s calendar. Recently, Carl Cox‘s residency has hosted major surprise moments, including a David Guetta birthday call and a growing string of A-list guest cameos. As a result, ‘Beauty In Us’ now heads into release week with real live-tested weight behind it.
