RÜFÜS DU SOL have signalled a touring hiatus once their 2026 North American run wraps. The Australian trio broke the news to fans on 6 August during the opening night of their five-date stand at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California.
“We told ourselves before we walked out on stage we’ve got to make the most of this, so let’s really enjoy this because we’re not going to be touring for a solid amount of time until we have new music,” the group told the crowd. “And I can’t wait to share that with you, whatever that sounds like.”
The Forum residency runs 6 to 7 August and 11 to 13 August, with a headline stop at San Francisco’s Outside Lands on 9 August squeezed between. The 2026 tour opened at The Gorge Amphitheatre in June and has already moved through Chicago, Washington DC, New York, and Mexico City. In June the trio made history by selling out four consecutive nights at Madison Square Garden, the most by an electronic artist at the venue.
Festival dates still ahead include Austin City Limits in October, following earlier appearances at Bonnaroo in June. The trio will stay on the road through August and into the autumn with stops in San Diego, Phoenix, Boulder, Atlantic City, and Pittsburgh before the hiatus kicks in.
RÜFÜS DU SOL released their latest album ‘Inhale / Exhale’ in 2024, followed by companion remix albums ‘Inhale / Exhale Remixed, Vol. 1’ and ‘Vol. 2’ in 2025. New original music now looks like the next chapter for RÜFÜS DU SOL.
The hiatus announcement follows a run of career-defining moments.
