SETO makes debut with ‘Play Me’ as Albert Harvey launches Nu Dutch Attitude: Listen

Harvey brings a heavyweight résumé to the moniker. His credits span dance, electronic, pop and hip-hop, with production and writing work for David Guetta, Pitbull, J Balvin, Akon, Steve Aoki, Black Coffee and Iggy Azalea, among many others. That catalogue has fed into some of dance music’s biggest stages, from European studios to Los Angeles.

Meanwhile, SETO is where Harvey sets his own agenda. ‘Play Me’ pairs a driving groove with an instantly recognisable hook, engineered to translate from festival mainstages to late-night club rooms. Notably, the record picked up early DJ support from Martin Garrix, Don Diablo, Lucas & Steve, Nicky Romero, Blasterjaxx, Bingo Players and MOGUAI ahead of release day.

For Harvey, the project is personal. “‘Play Me’ is the first thing out under SETO, so it had to carry the whole story,” he says. “I grew up between two worlds: the quiet edge of the Dutch countryside and the pace of The Hague City, with Surinamese and Indonesian rhythm running under both. What started as a teenage obsession with rap and the sound of the streets ended up on the dance floor, reworked into tech house that owes as much to heritage as it does to the club.”

Crucially, Nu Dutch Attitude draws on the independent, rebellious spirit that has long defined Dutch electronic music, building a community around likeminded producers rather than one narrowly defined genre. The move echoes a wider Dutch trend that includes fellow countrymen Showtek launching their own imprint F_CK THE SYSTEM.
