Skrillex is back in Chicago. The producer confirmed a two-night headline stand at Navy Pier on 11 and 12 September. He teased the news through a cryptic X post and locked it in the following day. Night one carries a full support bill curated by Skrillex himself. He closes the show. Night two hands him the entire evening, open to close.
The Windy City return arrives fresh off ‘SOMA’, his sixth studio album. Skrillex has been touring the record aggressively since release. Opening night at Navy Pier features a lineup pulled straight from his current inner circle. The support bill includes Dylan Brady of 100 gecs, Frost Children, Knock2, slayr, and Tiffany Day. It reads as a compressed version of the sonic universe ‘SOMA’ operates in.
This makes it three Chicagoland dates in three years for Skrillex. He headlined Lollapalooza in 2024. That show marked his first Lolla appearance in a decade. It was also his first Chicago show since 2016. In June of this year he came through Bridgeview for the Lyrical Lemonade Summer Smash. Navy Pier makes it a proper hat-trick.
Chicago is not the only surprise stop this month. Last week Skrillex announced his first Seattle show in 14 years. Another one-off pulled out of nowhere. Presale registration for the Navy Pier weekender opens now. Presale ticket access begins Wednesday 12 August at 10AM CT. General on-sale follows Thursday 13 August at 10AM CT.
