Yann Pissenem, the owner, founder and CEO of Ibiza’s The Night League, has moved to shut down unfounded rumours around the sale of the company. Speculation had circled online in recent days suggesting that the group behind Ushuaïa, Hï and UNVRS had been sold to Pacha’s 5 Group.
The talk gathered enough traction that Pissenem addressed it directly. He posted an Instagram Story that simply read “NOT FOR SALE”, ending the rumour cycle in a single line and confirming that none of the group’s marquee assets are changing hands.
Notably, The Night League operates three of the island’s most-visited venues. Ushuaïa continues its long-running open-air residency programme, Hï Ibiza holds down its year-round club calendar in Playa d’en Bossa, and the newly opened hyperclub UNVRS completed its debut season in 2026 with a stacked calendar. Meanwhile, 5 Group continues to own and operate the Pacha brand across Ibiza and beyond.
The rumours came at the tail end of a summer defined by strong headline moments for the company. David Guetta, Tiësto, Martin Garrix, Swedish House Mafia, Anyma, Carl Cox, Amelie Lens and many more have anchored residencies across the group’s venues, cementing its stranglehold on the White Isle’s peak-summer bookings. Beyond that, the closing weekends are still to come, with the UNVRS Closing Party on October 10 already headlined by The Martinez Brothers, Mochakk, KAMMA and WhoMadeWho.
Crucially, the denial from Pissenem puts to rest what could have been one of the summer’s biggest business stories in dance music.
