Above & Beyond have shared their full ABGT700 set from The Gorge Amphitheatre and announced a special follow-up show in London. ABGT700.2 takes place on Thursday, October 29 at 26 Leake Street, with ilan Bluestone, J Ribbon and Oliver Smith.
The weekend from September 11 to 13 brought nearly 20,000 members of the Anjunafamily to Washington State. On Saturday, high winds forced organisers to pause the event for around three hours while the venue was made safe. When the show resumed, the trio played in the rain to thousands of fans who had waited out the weather.
That set is now on YouTube and streaming platforms as ‘Group Therapy 700 Live from The Gorge Amphitheatre’. It features eight brand new Above & Beyond IDs, plus new music from Oliver Smith, Genix, Grum and AVNT. Meanwhile, CVMRN and station2station delivered fresh remixes of Super8 & Tab classics ‘My Enemy’ and ‘Helsinki Scorchin’’. Club mixes of ‘Bigger Than All Of Us’ and ‘Start A Fire’ kept the latest album in focus. For the encore, the trio debuted a downtempo ‘Sun & Moon’ with Richard Bedford. It landed on Anjunachill two days later as the first glimpse of ‘Anjuna:Chilled 01’.
The weekend opened on Friday with a Deep Set that was open to the public for the first time, drawing more than 10,000 fans. Sunday then belonged to Anjunadeep Open Air, led by Ben Böhmer, Marsh and James Grant & Jody Wisternoff.
ABGT700.2 exists because the weather cut Oliver Smith’s set short and kept J Ribbon and ilan Bluestone off the stage. The 700-capacity show falls one day before the actual 700th episode of Group Therapy airs on October 30. Audio from London will feature in that milestone broadcast, and ticket details will follow shortly.
