Thailand will welcome a new international meeting point for the electronic music industry this December, with the launch of Asia Music Week 2026 in Chonburi from 7–10 December. Built around the philosophy MEET. CONNECT. CREATE., the four-day gathering is being developed as a bridge between the rapidly evolving Asian electronic music market and the wider global music industry.
For four days, Chonburi will host artists, DJs, labels, promoters, festivals, streaming platforms, technology companies, agencies, brands and other key industry players — all in one place to exchange ideas, discover new opportunities and build relationships across borders. Rather than importing an established Western conference format into Asia, the ambition is to build a platform that genuinely connects both worlds.
Electronic music has always been international, but its global landscape is shifting. Asia is becoming an increasingly important territory, with growing audiences, festivals, clubs, streaming markets and a new generation of artists and music entrepreneurs emerging across the region. Asia Music Week aims to put those developments at the centre of the conversation — creating opportunities for international companies looking towards Asia, while giving Asian artists, professionals and businesses greater access to the global industry.
The programme is being shaped around industry talks, panels, networking, artist and brand activations, showcases, meetings and social experiences. Conversations will cover the subjects currently shaping the future of electronic music — from streaming and artist development to festivals, technology, branding, new markets and the changing economics of the music business. But some of the most important connections in music don’t happen inside a conference room, and Asia Music Week is also being developed around informal experiences combining business, music and Thailand’s distinctive lifestyle.
The choice of Chonburi is deliberate. Instead of another industry gathering inside a conventional metropolitan conference environment, Asia Music Week brings the international electronic music community to Thailand’s coast, combining professional meetings with showcases, hospitality, networking and destination experiences. Asia is not one single music market either — Thailand, China, Japan, South Korea, India, Indonesia, Vietnam, Singapore and other territories each have their own audiences, platforms, cultures and business environments, and Asia Music Week wants to create a place where that knowledge can be exchanged directly.
The long-term vision goes beyond a single date on the international calendar. The ambition is to establish an annual global meeting point for electronic music in Asia — a place where the international industry returns each year to discover what is happening across the region, meet the people behind it and participate in its growth.
