Calvin Harris has officially broken the Guinness World Record for the largest attendance at a DJ set by a single artist. The Scottish superstar played to 1.6 million people on February 8, 2026 at the free pre-carnival street party Bloco Skol on São Paulo's Rua da Consolação — a record now officially confirmed by Guinness World Records.

“Only in Brazil!!! This was a truly insane day,” Harris said of the achievement in an Instagram post.

The set included some of the biggest records in his catalogue — Rihanna collaborations We Found Love and This Is What You Came For, plus his global Dua Lipa smash One Kiss. The scale of the crowd led to Rua da Consolação being closed, with some fans reportedly fainting in the heat, according to the BBC.

The Calvin Harris Guinness World Record milestone caps off a career-defining year for Harris that has already included his historic first-ever headline slot on Rock in Rio’s Palco Mundo, his newly announced first-ever Australian headline tour for February 2027, and his double residency at Ushuaïa Ibiza that runs every Tuesday night until October 2. He also headlined Parklife festival for the first time in over a decade in June, before making his Tomorrowland debut later in the summer.

In August, Harris also launched a limited-edition Rave Haggis to mark his two homecoming shows at Glasgow’s Hampden Park Stadium, the first concert of which was broadcast live across BBC One, BBC iPlayer, BBC Radio 1 Dance and BBC Sounds.
