David Guetta & ARTBAT drop long-awaited remix of Gotye’s ‘Somebody That I Used To Know’: Listen

The rework transforms the delicate 2011 duet between Gotye and Kimbra into a widescreen melodic-techno anthem, keeping the vocal at the front while David Guetta and ARTBAT lean into their signature blend of driving low end, cinematic strings and euphoric mid-track release. It sits comfortably alongside the trio of huge stage-only IDs both acts have been road-testing in 2026, but this is the one fans have been begging for.

Sharing the release, David Guetta said: “We’ve been playing this one around the world for months now and watching you all scream every word has been insane. There’s something so special about the emotion and energy of this song. We’re so happy it is finally yours.” The reaction across social media has been immediate, with fans flooding both artists’ pages to celebrate.

For ARTBAT, the release adds another huge crossover to a growing list that has helped position the Ukrainian duo at the very top of the modern melodic-techno wave. For David Guetta, it doubles down on his continued willingness to work across genres and generations of dance music. In other news, we recently covered David Guetta’s Day 2 heritage set at Tomorrowland 2026.
