Dom Dolla made a surprise appearance at the AFL Grand Final, joining Kylie Minogue for her pre-match show at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Saturday, September 26. And he did not just stand behind the decks. During the performance, Kylie debuted Dom Dolla’s unreleased remix of her 2001 classic ‘Can’t Get You Out Of My Head’.
The Australian star leaned fully into the moment. Wearing a hi-vis orange vest and holding signal wands, he played the role of an aircraft marshaller, guiding Kylie back to the ground from her floating platform. “When Kylie asked me to be in the Grand Final show, this isn’t quite what I envisioned, but I’m ready,” he joked in a behind-the-scenes clip, flashing the orange wands.
The rework gives the track a high-energy update built for big crowds, and the MCG was the perfect place to try it out. The AFL Grand Final is one of the biggest dates in the Australian calendar, so bringing together two of the country’s biggest names in pop and dance music made for a memorable moment.
No official release date has been announced for the remix yet. It caps a strong year for Dom Dolla, who recently wrapped his Hï Ibiza residency after a summer of guests including Green Velvet, Skream, Skepta and Tiga.
