The title track ‘Dynamite’ leads the way. Designed for pure sensory overload, it has become a fan favourite on tour, and according to the release it is slated to feature on the Online Radio of GTA 6 this fall. “I’m super stoked my track Dynamite has taken off worldwide and is a fan-favorite on tour,” DRMAGDN said. “Now that there is a GTA 6 connection, I had to drop the DYNAMITE record in celebration of this epic placement.”
The rest of the EP covers plenty of ground. ‘Say Less Be More’ is a stadium-ready anthem that reached No. 10 on the iTunes Worldwide Dance Charts, while ‘Not Alone’ leans into Avicii-inspired folktronica. ‘Zombie Gorepedo’ brings a heavy big-room drop, and closer ‘RIOT!’ channels the intensity of Steve Aoki and Skrillex, switching between chill halftime sections and hardstyle drops.
It caps a busy year for the drummer turned producer. DRMAGDN reached No. 1 on Spotify’s official Iceland chart earlier this year, and several of his tracks are playing in Planet Fitness and Crunch Fitness gyms across North America via the Rockbot app. On the road, he has toured 34 countries and 43 US states, with appearances ranging from the Winter Olympics and Lollapalooza to Carnegie Hall, MetLife Stadium and the Royal Albert Hall.
Having spent years bringing live drums into the heart of his DJ sets, DRMAGDN now has a record that captures that energy in the studio. ‘DYNAMITE’ is out now on all major platforms.
