Released in 2017, ‘Blueprint’ is a narrative storytelling experience rather than a standard album. It follows the interstellar journey of protagonist Lukas and the extraterrestrial Vee, exploring discovery, consciousness and interdimensional travel. At the time, it marked a real shift for Corsten, moving away from a singles-driven format towards a cohesive long-form listening experience built on transitions, atmosphere and storytelling.

That approach makes it a natural fit for immersive audio. Dolby Atmos places sound all around the listener, so the album’s spoken passages, cinematic textures and club moments can now unfold in a far more spatial way. For a record built around a journey through space, the upgrade feels especially fitting.

The album has stayed firmly in the spotlight this year. Back in February, Corsten released ‘Blueprint Reprinted’, inviting a select group of artists to reinterpret six of its tracks for today’s dancefloors. More recently, he has also been revisiting his many aliases, a reminder of how wide his catalogue runs.

Nine years on, ‘Blueprint’ still stands as one of the most distinctive projects of his career. Put on a good pair of headphones and experience it in the highest quality below.
