Gorillaz have officially confirmed their first-ever live show in India, adding a new date to The Mountain tour. The virtual band will perform on 31 January 2027 at Sarusajai Stadium in Guwahati, marking a historic first for Damon Albarn's genre-bending project.
Ticket demand is expected to be enormous. Pre-sale opens on Tuesday 15 September at 12:00 PM IST, before the general on-sale on Sunday 20 September at 1:00 PM IST. Fans can register to be notified via District by Zomato, the official ticketing partner for the show.
The Guwahati date joins a rapidly expanding The Mountain tour cycle, which has been anchored around Gorillaz’s new project of the same name. The band’s decision to bring the show to India — and to Guwahati specifically — highlights the growing prominence of the country’s northeast region on the global touring circuit, with world-class venues and stadium-scale crowds now firmly on the map.
In other news, Gorillaz recently opened their ‘House of Kong’ exhibition in New York from September 1 to 28, offering fans a deep dive into their 25-year universe of characters, music and animation.
Sarusajai Stadium in Guwahati now marks the next major stop on Gorillaz’s global run — and the band’s long-awaited India debut.
