Loco Dice is back with ‘Eyes On Me’, a peak-time cut that leans hard into the UK urban and grime world he has championed in his sets from day one. Out now on Universal Music, the release brushes up against grime while staying built for adventurous, big-room dancefloors.
Notably, the direction is not a detour for Dice. Long before he became a fixture of house and tech-house, he came up in hip-hop, DJing and rapping in early-1990s Germany and opening for the likes of Snoop Dogg and Ice Cube. The rhythmic instincts and sample-first approach at the heart of this record are a return, not a departure.
Meanwhile, the production keeps things lean. Percussion does the heavy lifting, the low end stays physical, and every element is placed for maximum impact on a big system in a full room. Rather than chase a crossover moment, Loco Dice works the way he always has.
Beyond that, the direction was already visible on the dancefloor months before the release. Back in July, Dice shared the booth with grime legend Skepta at Hï Ibiza’s Club Room during his Más Tiempo residency, a live meeting of the two worlds this single now brings together in the studio.
Crucially, the release follows ‘Hold Up (You Feel That)’ on Universal Music and continues the busiest new-music run Dice has had since his 2025 album ‘Purple Jam’. In turn, the record fits neatly into Dice’s cross-cultural catalogue, which spans everyone from Carl Cox to Italian rap giant Gué. It caps the busiest new-music run he has had in years, with the road time to match.
