Kicking things off, the Dutch producer named Carl Cox first: “Three names to be on the lineup? Well, definitely Carl Cox, because he’s an incredible legend and he’s always delivering quality top sets. I think I would love to have him on the lineup.” Cox has been on a real career-defining run in 2026, from his UNVRS residencies to boundary-crossing disco moments across Ibiza.
The second name might raise eyebrows for anyone expecting a modern EDM headliner: “The second one is probably Sven Väth, because he’s my all-time hero. He inspired me so much and he’s still, you know, he’s still absolutely killing it.” It is a lovely nod to the German techno pioneer, and a reminder that Tiësto‘s roots stretch far deeper into underground techno than his current main-stage discography always suggests.
The third name, delivered with a grin, was himself: “And then the third one should be Tiësto. We love this one. I can be the mixer in between. When Sven goes too much that way, I pull him back. When Carl Cox goes that way too much, I’ll keep it together between the three of us.” When the interviewer suggested he would have to headline his own festival, Tiësto laughed it off with, “No, they can headline. I’ll be like the bridge between them.”
Beyond the joke, the answer offers a real snapshot of who Tiësto considers his musical influences and peers. In other news, we recently covered Tiësto closing his UNVRS Ibiza Sunrise residency. The Capital Dance clip is available on their official Instagram.
