According to publicly accessible documents from the Berlin commercial register, shareholders voted to remove Carmine Conte, known as MRAK, as managing director with immediate effect at a meeting on August 6, 2026. Conte was reportedly not present and did not send legal representation. A notification dated August 17 then confirmed the change, with Matteo Milleri, known as Anyma, remaining as managing director.

Importantly, the change concerns management, not necessarily ownership. Reports from several outlets indicate that the register still lists Conte as a 30% shareholder, alongside Milleri and Afterlife co-founder Aurelia Ortiz, while Italian company SIPAL S.p.A. holds the remaining 10%. Some reports have described his exit as a full departure from the company, but the available records point specifically to his removal from management.
The move comes amid an internal legal dispute. Karmat Music alleges that Conte shared confidential company documents with SIPAL during a separate legal battle between SIPAL and Karmat, and that a lawyer he instructed accepted SIPAL’s claim on the company’s behalf, leading to a court decision against Karmat in May 2026. These are allegations from the company and have not been ruled on in court. Conte has not made a public statement.
Neither artist has officially announced the end of Tale Of Us. Anyma, meanwhile, has already been building his own path, having launched ÆDEN Records in August with the compilation ‘Digital Renaissance Vol. I’.
